Primary Responsibilities •Update and maintain engineering documentation such as specifications, high-level diagrams, bills of materials, schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams based on best practices. •Schematic and PCB layout design of hardware systems and components, including embedded circuits, power circuits, and analog circuits. •Debug and validate designs at PCBA, product, and system levels. •Participate in design and documentation reviews. •Ensure designs are compliant with industry, safety, and performance standards including regulatory standards such as UL, FCC, or CE. •Perform initial testing and debugging to ensure hardware reliability and performance. •Develop test plans, execute validation and testing procedures, perform data analysis and write technical reports to confirm device requirements have been met. •Apply circuit design expertise to support the full PCB development and validation process. •Carry out methodical technical troubleshooting and diagnosis of failed equipment in support of root cause analysis. •Work closely with production and supplier teams on component lifecycles, DFM/DFA, first article approvals, and sustaining production. •Actively participate in regular project status meetings with relevant external and internal stakeholders. •Embrace engineering best practices, yet remains innovative, in order to deliver high-quality designs with maximum efficiency. •Collaborate well with local and international teams. Job Description Additional Information Basic Qualifications •Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. •4-7 years of hands-on electrical/hardware engineering design experience in embedded hardware design including technology or product development responsibility. •Must be proficient in schematic capture, layout and documentation with AutoCAD. •Must be proficient OrCAD or Altium for PCBA design. •Must have proficient experience with circuit design including microcontrollers, FPGAs, embedded systems and sensor integration. •Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics, specifications, checklists, and work instructions. •Experience working with cross-functional teams (mechanical engineers, software/firmware engineers, scientists, manufacturing and quality engineers). •Experience using DMM, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers to support lab testing. •Well-organized, reliable individual, with attention to detail and who demonstrates personal initiative. •Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload and have good communication and intrapersonal skills. •<10% travel to customer sites as required. Desired Qualifications •Demonstrated leadership of small technical teams and projects. •Programming experience in C/C++, Java, Visual Basic, Python, or MATLAB. Compensation for this role is a base salary range of $110-$115K + an employee incentive bonus.
