Job Description
The Electrical Engineer supports the design, development, packaging, testing, and integration efforts of electrical/electronic systems and components that ultimately support the war-fighter. The qualified candidate will work under the general direction of a project engineering lead to perform electrical system design on a variety of military systems, ranging from combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions. The Electrical Engineer provides detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product application.
Responsibilities
+ Design and develop electrical/electronic systems and components.
+ Support the integration efforts of electrical systems for military applications.
+ Perform detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems.
+ Create, read, and comprehend schematics and interconnect drawings.
+ Manage interface control documents.
+ Perform circuit simulation using tools such as PSpice or LTspice.
+ Convey data, information, and technical results to customers through effective verbal and written communication.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field with four years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with two years of relevant experience.
+ Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems.
+ Experience in creating, reading, and comprehending schematics and interconnect drawings.
+ Ability to create and manage interface control documents.
+ Ability to perform circuit simulation using PSpice or LTspice.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with relevant military and commercial design standards.
+ Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, and LabVIEW.
+ Knowledge of computer programming languages such as C, C#, and LabWindows/CVI.
+ Working knowledge of Visio.
+ Familiarity with designing components for high EMI environments.
+ Understanding of Systems Engineering and manufacturing processes.
Work Environment
This position is onsite 100% or hybrid with 50%+ onsite. The candidate should be local and available for onsite work as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
