Electrical Engineer
Job Description: Electrical Engineer We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer who will operate independently while collaborating closely with the application engineer, electrical engineer, and mechanical team. The role involves designing electrical systems based on customer-approved drawings and finalizing construction drawings packages to ensure high-quality manufacturing and testing. Responsibilities + Collaborate closely with the application engineer, electrical engineer, and mechanical team on projects to ensure clear communication and finalize construction drawings packages. + Design electrical systems based on customer-approved drawings and review customer redlines to support Electrical Engineers in revising the drawings. + Create and finalize construction drawings including control schematics, three lines, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, sub-panel layouts, and cross-check BOM. + Coordinate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams for door layouts, conduit, wireway, and cable tray runs. + Follow engineering processes and attend meetings to ensure components and layouts are properly designed, avoiding manufacturing issues. + Check construction drawing packages by cross-checking the Design Check List prior to release to maintain quality. + Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) with urgency to promptly close issues for on-time shipments. + Handle multiple projects simultaneously. Essential Skills + Proficiency in SolidWorks, power systems, and power electronics. + Knowledge of engineering, design, and manufacturing of Medium Voltage/Low Voltage Switchgear (Metal-Clad, Metal-Enclosed, E-House) and other power distribution equipment integrated into the switchgear. + Ability to interpret customer specifications, drawings (One Line, Controls, 3 lines, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules), and power system requirements as they apply to MV/LV Products. + Understanding of ANSI/IEEE standards and NEC codes. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Minimum BSEE or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. + Desired EIT or PE licensure. + 1-6 years of experience in the power system industry. + Ability to move into an Electrical Engineer role within 1 year with a bachelor's degree. + Knowledge of engineering, design, and manufacturing of MV/LV Switchgear (Metal-Clad, Metal-Enclosed, E-House) and other power distribution equipment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $62.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
