Job Description

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to our power distribution projects for industrial and commercial clientele on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Newark, DE. Flexibility to sit in Philadelphia as a last resort. Some hybrid flexibility is also available. The project types are mostly industrial in nature, including sectors such as pharmaceuticals and chemicals. This candidate must be a technically focused electrical engineer to help with production while leading the design floor.

ResponsibilitiesDesign industrial and commercial electrical power distribution systems and equipment (up to 35kV / 35,000 volts).Prepare electrical single-line diagrams and electrical arrangement and circuit drawings using knowledge and experience of relevant equipment such as motors, motor starters and disconnects, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, etc.Ensure that our work complies with NEC standards.Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering4+ years of professional experienceProficiency with engineering tools such as AutoCADKnowledge of MicroStation and Revit is a plusAdditional Skills & QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license is a plusWork Environment

The work environment consists of an open floor space with areas of four desks with dividers. The team is very collaborative, with around 20 members who are willing to help and teach when needed. The hours are flexible as long as employees complete their 8 hours between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., but they need to be present during most prime hours. The dress code is business casual. The MEP division includes 30 people, with 8-10 engineers and the rest being designers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
