As an Electrical Engineer with The Modal Shop, you are responsible for working as part of the Engineering Department on electrical design.
Additional Duties:
Design electrical hardware, firmware, and software products Deliver rapid response to both intra-organizational and external technical supports.Practice innovation through industry and engineering reading to stay current on most recent trends and technology. Learn new software, design, and testing techniques as required.Practice the following habits: complete testing, conformance to standards, high quality output, meet deadlines. Support Engineering, Quality, Production, and Product Group Teams by improving engineering designs for manufacturability, product quality, repeatability and reproducibility. Perform engineering and technical documentation duties, including but not limited to:Develop design documentation, drawings, schematics, and production procedures in support of TMS ERP systemCreate and update necessary procedures and product documentation as requested by Engineering, Quality, Product Group, and Production TeamsReview design documentation for other engineers and co-opsPromote principles of continuous improvement through TMS quality (QC/OI) systems.Work with Production to qualify vendors and with Product Group Teams to provide technical support to customers.May be required to mentor and oversee electrical engineering co-op students.Minimum Qualifications:
Education: BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent experienceExperience: 0-3 years of experience, with electrical hardware, software and firmware aptitude.Travel Requirement: Possible travel (<5%) may be required for customer support, trade-shows and training.Preferred Qualifications:
