The Electrical Engineer I for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for supporting the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components.

This position is part of the Hematology R&D department located in Miami, FL, and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the R&D Electrical Engineering team and report to the Electrical Engineering Manager responsible for supporting the successful execution of electrical engineering design projects for both new and on-market products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Work alongside experienced engineers on cutting-edge projects, contributing to the development of advanced electrical systems.Gain hands-on experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical circuits.Engage with multidisciplinary teams, including Mechanical, Software and Systems, to support verification and validation activities.Create and present technical documentation to peers and management.Participate in technical reviews for design improvements and failure detection, increasing your knowledge and skills on best practices in electrical engineering.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.0-2 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or a related role.Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, circuit design, signal processing and power distribution.Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g. OrCAD, Altium Designer).Strong problem solving and communication skills.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Proficiency in hardware programming (e.g. microcontroller firmware, VHDL).Previous internship experience in an electrical engineering role, providing practical, hands-on experience that complements academic knowledge.
