The AFI Product Line is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the design, integration and test of cutting-edge aircraft- and ground-based electronic systems.The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.
Responsibilities:
Interconnect design including wiring harnesses, system interconnect definition, and schematicsIntegration and test of new products (ranging from prototype to full-rate production)Radio Frequency (RF) component and system-level testingCCA design including schematic capture, PCB layout support, and Bill of Materials (BOM) definition Troubleshooting and repairs of previously fielded equipmentDevelopment of test equipment and fixturing Potential to gain experience with system and software testingMIL-STD and industry-standard qualification testing, including Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 2 or more years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceKnowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience with Computer Aided Engineering toolsFamiliarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teamsAbility to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and manualsAbility to work with standard laboratory test equipment, other measurement equipment, hand tools, and power toolsAbility to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
