The company is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II.
Position Summary/ Primary Purpose
Electrical engineers in the Automated Vehicle Engineering group concept, design, and validate electrical and control systems for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) for use in manufacturing, industrial, warehousing, and entertainment applications among others.

Major Areas of Responsibility
Execute electrical design of a battery powered industrial AGV/AMR according to established requirementsExecute design within budget and scopeDefine scope of work and description of operationCalculate equipment performance requirements and capabilitiesCreate control and electrical system concept documentationCreate control and electrical system design specificationsCreate control and electrical system schematics and component layoutsCreate testing and as-built documentationManage assigned budget, schedule, and scope of designEvaluate and select control and electrical componentsEngage internal and external teams to ensure control and electrical systems conform to applicable standardsEngage internal and external teams to ensure control and electrical systems conform to functional deliverablesEngage internal and external teams to evaluate control and electrical system technical risksEngage with internal and external teams to recommend and implement product and process improvementWork with the manufacturing facility to support the build and testing of AGVsRemotely support commissioning team and customers with troubleshooting AGV related problems QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For
B.S. in Engineering (Electrical/Mechatronics) or equivalent experienceProficiencyEnglish Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammarMicrosoft Office – MS Word, Excel, PowerPointElectrical design and component selectionRead and draw electrical schematics and layoutsTroubleshooting electrical systems both in person and remotelyDesired ExperienceAutoCad or AutoCad Electrical (or equivalent)Design of automation equipment, including:Panel design and component layoutPower distributionInterface with control devices (PLC, industrial computers, motor controllers, etc.)Harness designWire routingInterface with I/O and peripheral devicesNEC, NFPA SpecificationsANSI B56.5 SpecificationUL 583 SpecificationISO 36915+ years direct experience in electrical design
Demonstrated Physical Abilities as Follows:
Visits to customer locations may require negotiating through an industrial facility, including, but not limited to, conveyor systems requiring climbing access ladders, negotiation screen guards, catwalks, and lifting and/or carrying objects up to 40 lbs.
