Electrical Engineer (Intermediate/Senior)

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Engineer/Electrical Engineer to join our team and assist in developing electronic systems and sub-systems across Bayer’s range of Radiology medical devices. The Electrical Team is responsible for;

Designing and maintaining various specialist subsystems and at a board level, ensuring the whole electronics design within each of our devices performs as intendedElements of component selection, design, compliance testing, troubleshooting prototype issues and assisting with implementation in production as well as liaising with suppliers

Electrical circuit design on DC/DC converters, motor drivers, and Battery Management SystemsCircuit design for digital wired and wireless communicationsEmbedded software development for circuit prototyping, sensor reading and fast proof-of-conceptDesign products that meet medical safety standards e.g. IEC60601-1 and medical-level EMC standards, e.g. IEC60601-1-2Troubleshoot and improve the design to meet the above medical standardsHands-on tasks such as building, soldering, testing, and troubleshooting circuit boards.Generation of design specifications, descriptions, test reports, and manufacturing documentation

 

Does this sound like you?
 

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentExperience in highly regulated environment i.e. Medical Device, Automobiles, Aerospace, Defence, GamingAt least 3 years’ experience in electrical circuit design and PCBA layout in a regulated environment, hands on experience in prototyping, Soldering, testing troubleshooting Electrical systemsKnowledge of Schematics and PCB layout in Altium or OrcadThis role is based at our Rydalmere site in Sydney, and will require you to work onsite.
