Electrical Engineer Internship, Summer 2025

Buehler falls within ITW's Test and Measurement Segment. This internship will require an onsite presence but has the flexibility to work from home some days. + Assist Materials Engineers with testing of consumable products. + Prepare metallurgical specimens. + Write reports on findings of materials testing. + Assist materials engineers with metallurgical materials testing and customer service. + Follow ISO test procedures where applicable for new product development testing and QA work. + Perform materials testing and customer assistance in accordance with requirements as outlined by materials engineers. + Additional duties and tasks as assigned. **Job Requirements** + Junior status students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Material Science or Material Engineering. + Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary. + Experience with light microscopic examination of metallurgical specimens. + Some laboratory experience preferred. + Experience with scientific report writing preferred. **Compensation Information:** This internship is located in Lake Bluff, IL and has an hourly rate of $23.00-$25.00. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
