Volt is immediately hiring an Electrical System Engineer in Long Beach, CA.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tVerify the design of the avionics architecture and electrical power distribution system.\r\n\tDesign and build test methodologies for avionics and electrical power systems.\r\n\tUtilize simulation and lab facilities to test aircraft systems. \r\n\tWork directly with SMEs and suppliers to test and verify aircraft system architecture.\r\n\tAssist in designing lab facilities.\r\n\tIs consulted extensively by associates and others as a recognized authority within the field.\r\n\tAnticipate and resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.\r\n\tApproach to problem solving balances technical product, cost and schedule.\r\n\tWork without appreciable direction; work is reviewed from a long-range perspective for desired results.\r\n\tSelect appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.\r\n\tExercise latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments and makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full time Direct Hire opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required.\r\n\t5 years in aircraft avionics & electrical power systems\r\n\tExperience credit considered for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.\r\n\tAvionics and/or Electronic Systems development and integration experience is required.\r\n\tExperience with A429, A664, A717, CANBUS, LVDT/RVDT, analog to digital conversions required.\r\n\tExperience with the FAA (14 CFR Part 25) or EASA (CS-25) certification is preferred.\r\n\tSystem integration lab and/or aircraft functional testing and troubleshooting experience is preferred.\r\n\tExperience with requirements management tools is preferred.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Benefits: Since this is a Direct Hire role, benefits will be provided by the employer.

Salary: $120K-$150K

\r\n\r\n
