Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. As an Electrical Engineer, you will design and draft efficient, cost-effective electrical systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, healthcare, and multifamily projects. You will be responsible for creating AC power distribution systems, lighting designs, fire alarms, and other building support systems. You will also supervise Electrical Designers, coordinate technical project requirements, seal drawings in licensed jurisdictions, and perform energy code compliance analysis and calculations.

Hard SkillsMinimum 5 years’ experience in the design of commercial, institutional, industrial, healthcare, and/or multifamily electrical systemsB.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited programProfessional Engineering licensure required with multistate eligibilityProficient in writing and editing specifications using the CSI MasterFormat standardProficient in performing due diligence field workProficient in construction administration tasksStrong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookExperience with SKM or similar electrical modeling software is a plusAutoCAD and/or Revit MEP experience is a plusSoft SkillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAble to independently attend project meetings and present engineering assignmentsAble to lead the electrical design effort for assigned projects with minimal supervisionAble to work well in a team environmentJob Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Environment

Small office located in south Charlotte, fully in office, 10 people in Charlotte, total firm size around 50-80 people
