In this exciting role as a Principal Electrical Engineer with the CRM Technology & Innovation (T&I) group, you will have responsibility for rapid prototyping and technology demonstration related to cardiac therapy systems and products.  As a member of a talented team of technologists, – primary responsibility will be to enable new technology development via design, rapid prototyping and testing of concepts (from ideation to de-risking and hand-off to product development). This role will contribute to a fast-paced R&T environment, working within a team to deliver advanced technical expertise and solutions to complex engineering problems.

A Day in the Life
•Drive new technology creation by conducting and distilling VOC related to our cardiac implantable therapy delivery tools and systems;
•Work with cross-functional team (R&T, R&D, Marketing, operations, PMO, etc.) to brainstorm ideas for new technologies and a business case for productization.
•Works with cross-functional engineering teams to develop biomedical instrumentation and signal processing solutions from concept level through final implementation.
•Drive new technology de-risking by involving in all phases of technology hand-off to product development including definition, design, troubleshooting, characterization, and verification of cardiac therapy products (pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators and implantable diagnostic devices as well as external patient communicators, programmers, and monitors).
•Provide electrical engineering skills to design, develop, analyze, and debug new product designs including analog and digital circuitry
•Integrate electronics, firmware, and mechanical designs into final product
•Develop test requirements and support development of prototype test applications
•Support PCB and Device assembly and develop test procedures to evaluate, characterize, and verify new electrical and product designs.
