**Description** SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer Principal to join our team at the Wright-Patterson AFB, OH or the Hanscom AFB, MA. SAIC is a proud member of the Advance Battle Management System (ABMS) consortium in support of the Department of the Air Force’s (DAF) mission objectives. A common objective we share with our Air Force customer is creating decision superiority by delivering relevant information and capabilities to warfighters and operators. This position represents a unique opportunity within SAIC’s Air Force Business Group (BG) with multiple opportunities available to support our growing Portfolio, as well as working closely with mission partners across the defense industry. **The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:** + Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. + Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. + Ensures that analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. + Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. + Provides strong knowledge of the job area and broad knowledge of project management. + Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight. + Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures. + Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes. + Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results. **Qualifications** + Bachelors Degree and a minimum of nine (9) years of prior relevant experience; Masters Degree and minimum of seven (7) years of prior relevant experience; Or 13 years of experience in lieu of degree + Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Active Top Secret clearance SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
