Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an Electrical Engineering Architect Summer Intern - Electrification.

The Electrical Engineering Architect Summer Intern - Electrification will support the Electrical Engineering Architect, who is responsible for Analyzing, Developing, Documenting and Allocating the Hardware Architectural Design on new and innovative power electronics products.

Key Responsibilities

Develop hardware block diagram.Including ASIL decomposition and cybersecurity control mechanism impactsProduct Mechanization Drawing (PMD)Allocate hardware requirements.Including hardware element FS impactsDefine interfaces for hardware design (PMD)Document hardware blocksIncluding sub-blocks where applicableProduct Definition Document (PDD)Establish bidirectional traceability.Between Hardware Requirement and Hardware BlocksAnalyse hardware architectural designEnsure design is defined, consistent and complies with HW requirements.Perform CS vulnerabilities analysis.Hardware Design VerificationFS-related systems, combination of methods per ISO-26262 are used.CS-related systems, the CS Assurance Level approach is used.Baseline and Communicate hardware architectural design.Product Mechanization DrawingProduct Definition Document

What We’re Looking For

Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or be a graduate from an accredited collegeGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or B average, upon initial hire dateDesire to be part of deeply skilled team and to engineer automotive power electronics for the next generation of electrified vehicles, while working with some of the world’s top automakersFamiliarity with general lab equipment, Scopes, Meters, DebuggersKnowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills
