Kleinfelder is looking to add an engineering co-op or intern to join our Ohio Area Electrical Department in McClure, OH!
We are looking for candidate who can thrive and learn in a team-oriented workplace. The Ohio Area Electrical Department offers a wide range of challenging project work and a great opportunity to learn and develop professionally. This position will offer a flexible work schedule and reporting location and allow for limited work from home opportunities along with office days.
Required Experience:
desire to learn, or experience in, electrical engineering associated with industrial facilities and commercial buildings,strong verbal and written communication skills,the ability to organize priorities and multi-task effectively, anda thirst to learn and achieve continuous improvement in a team environment, anda can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset are essential, anda strong commitment for accountability to project quality and schedule.
Education:
We ask that students are pursuing a degree towards Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and have at least one prior co-op experience with an engineering firm, general contractor, or other company.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
ability to use Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Teams to effectively communicate with internal and external clients,experience in AutoCADprior experience or willingness to learn Revitability to adhere to organizational standards for quality and performanceability to read and interpret construction plans and specificationsability to read and interpret applicable building codes and design codesability to assist in preparing basic electrical calculations under the direction of a Electrical Engineer or the Senior Electrical Engineerability to assist in reviewing/checking calculations prepared by othersability to assist in the drafting of plans and detailsability to assist in preparing meeting minutesability to assist in reviewing and processing submittals and shop drawingsability to assist in performing field observation and field measurements to record existing conditionsability to work collaboratively with other design disciplines to coordinate the electrical with the overall designwilling to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, willingness to climb, work at heights, over water, and other austere conditions for inspections and/or observations
