We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Design Intern to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the CIG Electrical Design Manager and will be based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.
Role and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with team members to design fuel cell based microgrids to improve customer power resiliency.
Develop installation drawings packages for new fuel cell installation projects. This includes AutoCAD drafting and working with the drafting team to update the installation drawings as the design progresses.
Create wiring diagrams to ensure the fuel cell system will behave as expected on site.
Support template updates to improve accuracy for future projects
Skills and Experience:
Basic understanding of electrical engineering design principles.
Expert understanding of AutoCAD for 2-D drawings. (Preferred, not required)
Basic understanding of electrical engineering and architectural details as used in building plan sets.
Ability to read/create an electrical single line diagram.
Ability to understand existing installations and recreate plan set and as-built drawings as necessary.
Excellent communication skills.
Highly motivated and a self-starter.
Additional comments:
Undergraduate junior or higher student working toward a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management. Must be a junior or senior graduating by Summer 2026.
This internship program is from June to August 2025
