Job Description/Responsibilities

At KLA, we are looking for high-energy interns for several exciting projects this coming summer in our Ann Arbor, Michigan location! This position provides a phenomenal opportunity to perform hands-on work on KLA’s semiconductor inspection tools and contribute to the development of components and tooling that we integrate into KLA's instruments. A self-motivated individual in this role will work in a team with other interns and engineers on a specific aspect of a larger project.

You'll have opportunities for:

Programming in LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, or Verilog, either on a PC or embedded software on ARM microcontrollers.Designing and building control systems with motors and position sensorsCreating analog and digital hardware and software to process digital and analog I/O data to make a system more intelligentDesigning circuits with CAD tools, such as OrCAD or CadenceImplementing FPGAs with Vivado

As an intern, you will work on projects involving a variety of these areas, because we use them all in KLA equipment! Are you ready for an exciting intern opportunity?

Qualifications/Education Desired

The successful candidate should have taken classes in, or have hands-on experience with any of the following areas:

Programming in any of the languages listed aboveCircuit design, either in a system or on a printed circuit board, especially with controllers and data acquisition solutions.

Have strong analytical skills with experience in trouble-shooting electrical circuits.
