MSA has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Intern in our Milwaukee, WI office in our Water Service Line. This position would start in May 2025. This position will offer students hands-on project exposure to electrical and process control for a variety of water and wastewater treatment systems.  Hands-on experience with municipal infrastructure projects will also be possible. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve.

Responsibilities

The work you may do

Electrical engineering tasks associated with water and wastewater treatment, collection, and distribution systems will include design, field observation, and survey activities as well as document production utilizing Revit (BIM, building information modeling), AutoCAD, and other specific design tools.Heavy emphasis placed on the design of process control and instrumentation systems, power distribution, and motor control along with other building related systems design for lighting, communication, and electrical utilization equipment. Interns may have the opportunity to witness field installations of the systems and will work alongside senior engineering staff.Work will be performed as part of multi-discipline teams and will involve coordination with civil, process, mechanical, and architectural disciplines. Minimum 2.75 GPA requiredPursuing a Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering or related degree requiredA valid driver’s license requiredPrevious related engineering intern or co-op experience preferredPrior experience in the electrical construction field preferredRevit and Auto CAD coursework and/or experience would be a plusA desire to learn more about the design, construction, and operation of of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in a variety of builing types as part of the consulting engineering industryThis position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
