Pay
$24.73 – 27.58 / hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Schedule
1st Shift (Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

This intern will be expected to average at least 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week when school is not in session.
This internship may be year-round, candidates should live and attend school within commuting distance of Collegedale, TN.

Job Summary
McKee Foods is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Corporate Engineering team. The purpose of an internship at McKee Foods Corporation is to provide real-world experience for the student while generating productive work that contributes to our business objectives. The intern will utilize and supplement the knowledge they have gained in school to accomplish assigned tasks and projects. The assigned work will provide the intern with relevant work experience producing insight into their field of study or future career opportunities.
This internship will focus on power, working closely with a Principal EngineerLearn from the best as you assist our Corporate Engineering Groups in all phases of projects helping to ensure cost, schedule and performance objectives are successfully metParticipate in Core Problem Solving of equipment/process related issues; assist Plant Maintenance with troubleshooting and solution implementationAssist in planning and coordinating project installations, including coordinating and overseeing vendors and contractorsAssure installations adhere to approved drawingsTrack all purchase requisitions, and drawing packages from design through installationParticipate in continuous improvement /Lean initiatives and eventsRequired Qualifications
Current enrollment / full completion of at least 2 full academic years of a BS degree program in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering school OR completion of 2 years of full-time pre-engineering studies program by May 2025, along with a verifiable acceptance into an ABET-accredited 4 year engineering program for fall of 2025Willingness to travel (via air) to other McKee facilities, vendor locations, and suppliers as requiredPreferred Qualifications
