We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies.  This role will report to the Senior Manager, Equipment Engineering and based in Newark, DE.  This is a fully on-site, in office role.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

Assist in designing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and control panels for manufacturing equipment.

Work with PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial automation systems to enhance production efficiency.

Support the installation, calibration, and maintenance of sensors, actuators, and motor controls.

Analyze electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and energy efficiency initiatives.

Conduct research and propose automation solutions to optimize manufacturing operations.

Assist in documentation, including wiring diagrams, test reports, and standard operating procedures.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all electrical and automation tasks.

Skills and Experience:  

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.  Preference to rising Senior graduating by Summer 2026

This internship program is from June to August 2025

Familiarity with electrical circuits, motor controls, and industrial automation

Basic understanding of PLC’s, low voltage controls, three phase power distribution, vision systems. Electronic sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics and robotics

Autocad/Solidworks/MS Office suite

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Minimum GPA 3.0

Authorized to work 40 hours or more each week
