Period of Work: May-August 2025

Full-Time: 40 hours a week

Location: Huntsville, AL

In Office Requirement: 5 days a week onsite

Clearance Requirement: Will be submitted for U.S. Government Security Clearance

MITRE’s Huntsville, AL site has a diverse work program including weapon systems, system assessments, Ground-Based sensors, space systems, command/control/battle-manager/communications systems, Cyber Security, and models and simulations. Our primary areas of mission concentration include defense and space systems, sensors, systems integration, systems engineering, radar engineering.

Responsibilities:

Apply technologies to solve problems of national significanceAntenna or sensor design or assessmentModeling and Simulation Radar Systems Engineering

Basic Qualifications:

Must be a student enrolled full-time pursuing an accredited degree seeking program in Electrical Engineering and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internshipSustained excellence in academic performanceHigh level of desire to help nation solve its most critical problemsExhibits the characteristics of a continuous learnerAbility to obtain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience having applied electrical engineering learning to an internship or research/lab positionExperience with MATLAB and similar modeling & analytic toolsElectromagnetics, Signal Processing, Control Theory undergraduate course completionDemonstrated interest in serving the publicActive Secret Clearance preferred
