Senior Electrical Engineer

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience with the design of federal, ports, or educational facilities. **Position Requirements** : + Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering + Registered Professional Engineer license is required + Minimum 10 years experience + Able to lead electrical design projects and a team of design engineers. + Able to perform QAQC on electrical projects and mentor emerging professionals through challenging design issues. + Demonstrate project management skills. + Be self-motivated, inquisitive, detail-oriented, adept at looking at underlying issues, and willing to work in fast-paced environment. + Experience using AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit + Possess strong record-keeping and organizational skills. **Working Knowledge** : + National Electrical Code - required + Washington State Codes - preferred + Unified Facilities Criteria - preferred + ETAP/SKM - preferred + Microsoft Office Suite + Revit a plus + AutoCAD a plus **Duties:** Pre-Design Engineering + Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports. + Prepare electrical schematic designs. Design Engineering + Design power single line and riser diagrams + Perform electrical calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP/SKM. + Design low voltage and medium voltage infrastructure. + Understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards. + Have a working knowledge of National Electrical Code, Washington Codes and Energy Standards to design electrical systems. + Coordination among different disciplines, such as mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural. Work in close contact with the entire design team. Project Management + Demonstrate ability to manage multiple large-size projects involving other senior engineers and sub-consultants. + Provide mentorship to design engineers. + Prepare proposals independently for clients. + Demonstrate active development of business with new and existing clients.
