Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead and support electrical design, development, and integration efforts across our UAS programs. Our small business in Madison, AL, fosters an innovative, high-energy, maker culture dedicated to providing advanced aerospace solutions to support the American Warfighter. We are looking for a hands-on technical leader who can actively contribute to engineering tasks while guiding and managing the team.

ResponsibilitiesLead and support electrical design, development, and integration efforts for UAS programs.Actively contribute to engineering tasks while managing and guiding the team.Coordinate and validate the interaction of electrical systems with mechanical and software components.Apply grounding, bonding, and shielding principles in aerospace electrical systems.Adhere to electrical design standards, including MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, and IPC standards for aerospace applications.Manage schedules and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure component availability.Support production and fielding efforts.Participate in design reviews, Material and Manufacturing reviews, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).Capture and document design decisions, test results, and risks/issues related to electrical systems.Communicate effectively across functional groups, providing technical input for proposals, processes, and procedures.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.15+ years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.System integration experience.Knowledge of grounding, bonding, and shielding principles.Knowledge of electrical design standards (MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, IPC standards).Eligible to obtain a clearance.Additional Skills & QualificationsExtensive knowledge of connectors, harnesses, soldering, over braid, and related electrical hardware.Experience in managing schedules and coordinating with procurement teams.Ability to lift 30 pounds and maintain physical agility.Experience in U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) manned and/or unmanned aviation programs.5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering leadership, specifically in aerospace design, manufacturing, and operations.Proven ability to lead teams in the design, development, testing, and integration of electrical systems for complex aerospace applications.Expertise in power systems, avionics, sensors, and embedded systems, including hardware/software integration.Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.Work Environment

Onsite position in Madison, AL. Collaborative environment with hands-on opportunities to own R&D projects from beginning to end.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00/yr.

Work Week
Monday through Friday; 8 hours per day; 40 hours
per week. Different hours may be assigned to
specific individuals when circumstances warrant.
Holidays
10 holidays: New Year's Day, President's Day,
Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and 3 additional
Floating Holidays (1 awarded after 3 months
employment, and 2 awarded after 6 months).
Personal Time Off
3 weeks per year accrued at 10 hours per month:
• 1 to 5 years: 3 weeks
• 5 to 10 years: 4 weeks
• 10+ years: 5 weeks
Paid time off (PTO) is available to use as vacation or
sick leave. PTO may be accrued and carried over at
the end of the year up to240 total accumulative
hours after 1 year.

Compensation
Payment of wages is made by direct deposit every
other Friday. Performance reviews are prepared at
yearly anniversaries. Merit pay increases may be
given at any time as circumstances warrant

Tuition Assistance
Full-time employees may be reimbursed for
expenses of pre-approved job-related coursework
completed at an accredited college or university, up
to a limit of $1,000 per calendar year for
undergraduate studies and $2,000 per calendar year
for graduate studies. A grade of A or B is required to
qualify for reimbursement. An employee who
voluntarily terminates employment within 1 year of
undergraduate level course completion or within 2
years of graduate level course completion must
refund to the Company the cost of any
reimbursement received.

MEDICAL CARE BENEFITS
Policy
The Company provides medical and dental plans
through Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama.
The Company pays 100% of the premium for
employees and 90% of the premium for family
coverage. Coverage begins on date of hire.
