Preparing single line diagrams, equipment sizing, transformers, DG set ups, cables, etc.; Lighting calculations and design feasibility concepts; Preparing technical and construction specifications for basic and detailed design engineering; Reviewing vendor packages and technical bid evaluations construction; Supporting grounding and lightning protection systems, electrical power, and load calculations for life safety system; and, Designing material take off's to support project construction, cost estimates, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analysis. Working with European electrical design, codes and standards for the projects worldwide. Supervising the design staff delivering competent designs for power distribution systems both medium and low voltage, grounding, lighting, low voltage communication systems along with life safety systems in some of the most complex industrial pharmaceutical facilities around the world producing much needed medications for those in need. Visiting existing facilities to evaluate the options of retrofit of building systems and infrastructure. Understanding of both modular and stick built construction and how both modular and traditional stick-built construction are merged. Telecommuting / Hybrid schedule within commuting distance from office is permitted. Supervising the work of 5 other employees: Electrical Engineers, Electrical Designers. TRAVEL: 10% Domestic travel to visit project sites. #LI-DNI REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering and 12 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation. SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Power system studies in SKM Power Tools software. 3D Modeling of electrical devices in Revit or BIM software. 3D modeling review of electrical equipment in Navisworks Manage Software. Lighting calculations in Dialux and AGI32 software. Bluebeam Revu Software to create, edit, mark up, and organize engineering drawings with project partners. Computer Aided Design & Drafting Software Application (AutoCAD). Sound knowledge of international engineering codes & standards. Strong experience on design of pharmaceutical / Life Science /Biotech facility / Specialty Chemical in terms of Electrical design. Sound experience of Hazardous Area Classification. Good knowledge in terms of selection of right electrical equipment for plant design. Experience in ELV Design consisting of Fire Alarm, Access Control, Door Interlock and Public Address Systems. Familiarity with European electrical design, codes and standards are required as Jacobs projects are worldwide. Supervision of the design staff delivering competent designs for power distribution systems. Prepare technical datasheets and specifications of Electrical Equipment for bidding and construction.
