Must Haves:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
1+ Year of Lead experience
3-5 Years of hands-on experience with 3 Phase Power Systems
Experience with the two or more of the following:
o Power Switching, Power Transformers, Power Distribution systems, UPS systems (more on the design side is best)
Knowledge of NEC or NFPA 855 requirements- Wire sizing/ breaker sizing
Experience setting and tracking KPIs

Day to Day/Responsibilities:

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Supervisor of Electrical Engineering (ETO & Sustaining) that will lead a team of engineers responsible for Engineered-to-Order (ETO) and Product Sustaining for the AC Power line of business. The product line will encompass UPS and Power Switching and Distribution Products for use in Data Centers. The supervisor will prioritize and assign work, monitor team and individual performance, and drive continuous improvement. This individual will utilize Smartsheet dashboards for incoming orders, sort through those and go through technical requirements and assign them to the correct engineer. This individual will need to be technically sound within electrical engineering and will be involved in some of the designing of the Power Units. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that each engineer is on task and will work to drive projects in a timely manner. This person will be responsible for managing anywhere from 60-70 micro projects at one time.


Responsibilities:

Work with manager to set and track team KPIs, metrics, and capacity.
Manage, delegate, and track all ETO and Sustaining projects.
Perform VAVE analysis to identify areas of high cost and eliminate them.
Work with manager and cross functional teams to resolve roadblocks and improve performance.
Review individual team members performance and provide improvement feedback.
Train and onboard new team members, as necessary.

SALARY: 120K
