Job Title: Engineering Electronic TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a skilled Engineering Electronic Technician to assist in assembling prototype PC Boards and assemblies for space applications and defense programs. The role involves performing soldering tasks, both through-hole and surface mount, and working closely with engineering teams to read blueprints or schematics, repair, and rework under J-Std guidelines. You will be involved in complex projects for the NAVY, space industry avionics, and programs for major clients like Northrop Grumman and Raytheon. Responsibilities + Assemble prototype PC Boards and assemblies for space applications and defense programs. + Perform soldering tasks, including through-hole and surface mount. + Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and engineering sketches. + Repair and rework assemblies based on engineering team developments. + Troubleshoot, test, and reassemble electronic components. + Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality and high-reliability electrical and mechanical systems. Essential Skills + 3-7+ years of soldering experience, including through-hole and surface mount, and PC board assembly with microscope experience. + 2+ years of experience in assembly for space, defense, or aerospace products in a prototype, R&D, or new product development area. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and engineering sketches. + Experience with J-Std soldering with Space Addendum. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with IPC Certifications. + Knowledge of NASA Space Specs or Defense Specs. + Proficient in troubleshooting and inspecting avionics electronics and electro-mechanical components. Work Environment You will work in a smaller shop with a team environment. The company operates in commercial, space, and defense markets, providing rugged aerospace-grade data-acquisition and control systems for use onboard rockets, spacecraft, aircraft, and other remote platforms in extreme environments.
