My client is a growing commercial electrical contractor that has dominated the New Jersey market for over 30+ years. They actively compete on a variety of projects scaling from $1 million to over $40 million! They pride themselves on longevity and culture with most staff being there for over 10+ years. They are actively looking to bring on a Electrical Estimator to their team. This opportunity offers mentorship, large projects and growth opportunity.

Responsibilities (Include the following. Other duties may be assigned)

Prepare quantity take-offs of electrical and low voltage systemsPrepare detailed estimates including assigning material and labor values to take-offsAcquire vendor pricing on specialty materials, equipment and systemsEvaluate and assist with subcontractor and vendor scope and pricing reviewParticipate and coordinate in project kick-off and turn-over meetingsProvide leadership, training and motivation to estimating staffProvide accurate monitoring of department employees performance by having higher level of interaction on a day-to-day basisComply with all Company operating policies, procedures, executed plans, and programsBe responsible for talking to executive management to have conversations on whether or not to bid on somethingWork with other execs to complete proposals and estimatesGet quotes for vendors, look at pricing for lighting fixturesCommunicate with GC's

Additional Qualifications

Estimating ability in the industrial, commercial, transit, transportation and utility fieldsAbility to manage multiple estimates at one timeAccubid, Microsoft project, Bluebeam, Excel
