Electrical Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our C3M team! The ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of construction principals including General Requirements, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical. We seek a self-starter that is detail oriented, displays good interpersonal skills and has a passion for the construction industry.


Responsibilities:

Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical behavior when representing the CompanyAnalyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimate for projectsPerform portions of estimates for multi-discipline projects including scope determinations and accurate quantity surveySolicit Subcontractor and/or Vendor quotes and evaluate them for scope and evaluate them for accuracyLead meetings with Subcontractors to develop complete scopes and discuss strategyPerform risk and contract management responsibilities as required on bidsAssist in developing a strategy to achieve minority participation requirementsReview total estimate to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotationMonitor comparison of estimated costs to actual costsResearch and promote continuous improvement in developing more efficient estimating methodsExamine construction sites and observe unusual or challenging conditions

Qualifications: 

Passionate about profession, dedicated to winning work and willing to take pride and ownership of work product5 to 9 yrs of electrical estimating experience is requiredRail/mass transit systems (Traction Power, Overhead Catenary, Train Control, Communications) estimating experience preferredHighway/ITS/traffic signal, water/wastewater, aviation, maintenance facility, power, industrial and other highly technical project experience a plusDemonstrate the ability to lead individual projects or pursuits and be a part of a team for large projects and pursuitsKnowledge of Electrical Bid Estimating Software. Accubid experience a plusDemonstrate the ability to either lead or be a part of a team for multiple projects and pursuitsWorking knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-taskMust be detail oriented, technically sound and have good communication skillsFamiliar with both conceptual and self-perform estimating
