About Us:

We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding Electrical Contractor specializing in a diverse range of projects for government agencies, commercial office spaces, and ground-up residential developments in NYC and the surrounding areas. We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Estimator to play a crucial role in supporting our growth and ensuring the success of each project.

Position Overview:

The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, interfacing with General Contractors, managing construction documents, and maintaining excellent communication with clients. This role requires a keen eye for detail, experience with commercial and residential project types, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform detailed quantity take-offs and create cost estimates across various stages of design.Interface with General Contractors and manage construction documents, including RFIs.Conduct on-site walk-throughs with clients, ensuring clear and professional communication.Price systems such as HVAC, fire alarms, and solar for commercial and residential projects.Prepare detailed take-offs to aid in accurate project costing.

Essential Skills:

Estimation and Pricing for Electrical ConstructionFire Alarm and Low Voltage SystemsElectrical Circuitry KnowledgeBidding Process and Commercial Construction ExpertiseProficiency with Estimating Software

Additional Qualifications:

Entry-level: 2-4 years of estimating experienceSenior-level: 10+ years of estimating experienceHands-on construction field experience overseeing projects and skilled trades.Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and clients.Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, Esticom, or Bid2Win.

Work Environment:

Full-time, in-office role (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm).All necessary equipment and software provided by the company.
