Job Title: Electrical Estimator – Join a Fast-Growing Electrical Contracting Team! About Us: We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding Electrical Contractor specializing in a diverse range of projects for government agencies, commercial office spaces, and ground-up residential developments in NYC and the surrounding areas. We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Estimator to play a crucial role in supporting our growth and ensuring the success of each project. Position Overview: The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, interfacing with General Contractors, managing construction documents, and maintaining excellent communication with clients. This role requires a keen eye for detail, experience with commercial and residential project types, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: + Perform detailed quantity take-offs and create cost estimates across various stages of design. + Interface with General Contractors and manage construction documents, including RFIs. + Conduct on-site walk-throughs with clients, ensuring clear and professional communication. + Price systems such as HVAC, fire alarms, and solar for commercial and residential projects. + Prepare detailed take-offs to aid in accurate project costing. Essential Skills: + Estimation and Pricing for Electrical Construction + Fire Alarm and Low Voltage Systems + Electrical Circuitry Knowledge + Bidding Process and Commercial Construction Expertise + Proficiency with Estimating Software Additional Qualifications: + Entry-level: 2-4 years of estimating experience + Senior -level: 10+ years of estimating experience + Hands-on construction field experience overseeing projects and skilled trades. + Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and clients. + Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, Esticom, or Bid2Win. Work Environment: + Full-time, in-office role (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm). + All necessary equipment and software provided by the company.
