Job Title: Electrical Estimator Job Description A rapidly growing Electrical Contractor is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support a variety of private and public agency projects throughout NYC and the surrounding areas. Projects include private multifamily residential, NYCHA, high-rises and ground-up commercial. Responsibilities + Perform detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for cost estimates for all stages of design. + Price HVAC, Fire Alarm, and solar systems. + Provide detailed takeoffs. + Occasionally handle construction documents such as RFI's and proposals. + Dependent on experience level, may be expected to go on-site walk-throughs. + Manage project budgets ranging from $10k to $50M. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in Electrical Estimating. + Experience supporting multifamily residential and commercial ground-up projects. + Experience in pricing for fire alarm, low voltage, high voltage, generators and solar systems. + Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, Bid2Win, ect. If you perform estimates by hand that is acceptable + Experience handling RFI's and proposals. + Excellent communication skills. + eIf candidate holds 10+ years of experience, a project management experience is highly preferred Additional Skills & Qualifications + Client-facing experience. + Project management experience. + Electrical design knowledge. + AutoCAD proficiency. Work Environment This is a salaried position with the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week once training is completed. The office is located in Astoria, Queens. Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The company provides equipment and estimating software. The firm is rapidly growing with a stable backlog of projects upwards of 20+ million, with multiple projects out for bid. The diverse project portfolio offers the opportunity to support both private and agency work. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $68.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
