About this Role

R.R. Cassidy is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team. The Electrical Estimator will provide comprehensive construction estimates for power utility projects, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness from initial bid through project completion. This full-time role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

What You'll Do

Review and summarize project requirements for bidding

Attend pre-bid job walk meetings and conduct site investigations

Prepare accurate labor, equipment, and material project estimates

Develop resource-driven project schedules in alignment with client requests

Assist Project Managers in preparing change order requests

Analyze and interpret bid documents and construction drawings

Perform below-grade takeoffs for concrete foundations (piers, pads, oil containment), grounding, conduit, cable trays, and site grading

Manage subcontractor submittals for site work, block walls, and control houses

Request and manage material quotes from suppliers

Communicate complex estimate details clearly and effectively

Identify and resolve problems through thorough data evaluation

Utilize computer software for estimating and scheduling; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Sage Timberline Estimating, and Microsoft Projects is preferred

What You'll Bring

5+ years of electrical/power utility estimating experience in Transmission, Substation, and Distribution projects

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
