Electrical Estimator
Job Title: Electrical Estimator Job Description We have an immediate need for an Electrical Estimator to join our team based in the main Phoenix office. The ideal candidate will have a strong past in electrical estimating for substations and/or transmission and distribution projects. Responsibilities + Assist the two chief estimators with tasks including quantity take-offs + Prepare and manage bid packages + Procure subcontractor/bid + Manage RFI during bid period + Control costs + Schedule projects + Maintain subcontractor relations + Oversee P&L + Deliver high-quality and competitive bid analysis Essential Skills + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel + Experience in electrical estimating + Knowledge of substations and construction + Ability to work with bidding and change order processes + Experience with estimating software Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in Timberline or Sage 300 software + Proficiency in Bluebeam or OnScreen software + Previous estimating experience Work Environment This position will be about 80% in the office and 20% in the field, with travel limited to site visits within Arizona, including Phoenix and Tucson. The candidate will report to the two chief estimators, who will provide training in estimating if needed. The role includes the use of a company vehicle. Upon election, Pike will pay thepremium for the $5,000 benefit amount.- Short Term Disability – If you are out for a non-work related injury or illness, you will be eligibleto receive your continued income for up to 26 weeks at no cost to you.- Long Term Disability – If you are out of work for an injury or illness more than 26 weeks, you will be eligible to receive 60% of your weekly income. Pike pays the premium for this benefit for you.- Supplemental Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) – You will be eligible to purchase AD&D in increments of $50,000, to a maximum of 10 times your annual pay or $250,000, whichever is less.• 401(k) Retirement Plan – The Plan offers a variety of investment funds with various risk and return factors. You may elect to make contributions from 1% to 50% of your salary (subject to IRS contribution limits). Pike will match your pre-tax contribution as follows:o Enrollment through year nine (9) of continuous employment – 100% match up to 3% of eligible pay;o Year ten (10) through year fourteen (14) of continuous employment – 100% match up to 3.5% of eligible pay and match 50% of next 3% of eligible pay;o Year fifteen (15 ) through year nineteen (19) of continuous employment – 100% match up to 4.0% of eligible pay and match 50% of next 3% of eligible pay;o Year twenty (20) of continuous employment and beyond – 100% match up to 4.5% of eligible pay and match 50% of next 3% of eligible pay.You become fully vested in the Pike match portion of your account when you have completed three continuous years of service with Pike; however, you are always fully vested in your own contributions to the Plan. The 401(k) enrollment material will be mailed shortly before your eligibility date. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Phoenix,AZ.
