Electrical Estimator

My client is a growing commercial electrical contractor that has dominated the New Jersey market for over 30+ years. They actively compete on a variety of projects scaling from $1 million to over $40 million! They pride themselves on longevity and culture with most staff being there for over 10+ years. They are actively looking to bring on a Electrical Estimator to their team. This opportunity offers mentorship, large projects and growth opportunity.
Responsibilities (Include the following. Other duties may be assigned)
+ Prepare quantity take-offs of electrical and low voltage systems
+ Prepare detailed estimates including assigning material and labor values to take-offs
+ Acquire vendor pricing on specialty materials, equipment and systems
+ Evaluate and assist with subcontractor and vendor scope and pricing review
+ Participate and coordinate in project kick-off and turn-over meetings
+ Provide leadership, training and motivation to estimating staff
+ Provide accurate monitoring of department employees performance by having higher level of interaction on a day-to-day basis
+ Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, executed plans, and programs
+ Be responsible for talking to executive management to have conversations on whether or not to bid on something
+ Work with other execs to complete proposals and estimates
+ Get quotes for vendors, look at pricing for lighting fixtures
+ Communicate with GC's
Additional Qualifications
+ Estimating ability in the industrial, commercial, or life science
+ Ability to manage multiple estimates at one time
+ Accubid proficiency
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $67.30/hr.
