Service Manager
Your role and responsibilities•\tTravel weekly to client sites across North America to gather electrical distribution system information such as wire size, length, circuit breaker and fuse info, transformer data, panel data, etc.•\tSurvey facilities and collect data while exposed to energized industrial electrical systems•\tUse electrical knowledge and experience to determine the setup of some electrical configurations•\tSupport engineers in power studies of client sites•\tCollect/document data and create field one-lines of electrical systems•\tPresent finished reports to clients and explain the findings and recommendations•\tUse proprietary software tools supplied by ABB/SEAM•\tAffix safety labels to electrical equipment•\tBuild and maintain positive work relationships with management, staff members, and external contacts•\tComplete expense reports in a timely fashion•\tBook hotels, air travel, and car rentals for work travel•\tArrive to work on time and maintain a positive attendance record•\tPerform any other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications for the role\tA strong safety orientation as well as being willing and able to wear up to Category 4 Personal Protective Equipment while on the job\tAbility to pass a basic electrical skills test and be qualified to perform the functions above\tBasic computer skills in current software platforms, as well as the ability to work with mobile devices, such as tablets, is required\tAbility to speak and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing\tAbility to behave in a professional fashion to enhance customer confidence in our companySuccessful Electrical Field Analysts will have the following education and experience:\tFive plus (5+) years of industrial electrical experience, working with building electrical distribution systems in an industrial setting is required\tExperience with Arc Flash testing and data collection is preferred\tThermography experience is preferred\tLock out/tag out experience is preferred\tClear criminal record.\tValid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.\tHigh school diploma or GED required and technical/electrical backgroundThis is a physically demanding role, including but not limited to the following:\tAbility to wear Personal Protective Equipment as needed on the job\tAbility to open and remove large electrical panel covers for data collection\tAbility to climb ladders, and access rooftop equipment\tAbility to consistently lift up to 50lbs at a time\tAbility to withstand a rigorous travel schedule by car and air on a weekly basis (100% Travel)\tAbility to drive at night when required\tAbility to walk and stand for extended periods of time daily\tStrong sensory skills, such as good eyesight, good hearing, and dexterity\tGood speaking and listening skills\tAbility to perform focused work with close attention to detail\tAbility to operate and understand tablet and PC oriented technology and software\tAbility to interact with others, both in person and through phone, e-mail, and written correspondence
