**Description** **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring skilled **Master Field Service Technician** **s** for projects located in and around **Chesapeake, VA.** This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of **$27-35/hour** based on experience & skill level. If you are a Master Field Service Tech and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! **Job Scope:** + Diagnose operational problems in electrical power generation and control systems and equipment. + Use specialized measuring and testing instruments such as voltmeters ammeters ohmmeters meggers, advanced Motor Circuit Testers AWA IV12 PDMA MCE Megger ADX 15 etc. + Make standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment + Plan and lay out work from blueprints sketches wiring diagrams or specifications + Install, repair, and test electrical systems, electrical equipment, & emergency or standby generation systems + Conduct IR Scans of Customer Power and Control Systems + Perform Troubleshooting + Maintenance and Repair of Electric Motors AC Induction + Work with AC Synchronous, AC Wound Rotor, DC Shunt Wound, DC Series Wound, and Generators AC and DC in the Field. + Other tasks as assigned **Requirements** + Masters Electrician License preferred + Minimum of 4 years experience in industrial electrical troubleshooting with a background in AC/DC motors controls and generators. + Experience with thermography + NETA or NICET certifications would be preferable over a Master Electrician/Journeyman.
