Job Summary:
 
Our client is looking for a leader who can coach great performances and partner with project managers to execute successful projects with their clients. The ideal person will lead a seasoned team of Project Managers by providing them with thoughtful coaching, career pathing and enrichment. They will work in a collaborative environment with other Group Managers, drafting and design teams across verticals and sectors, as well as the Leadership. The Group Manager will have a direct impact on the group’s performance such as customer satisfaction, net revenue, profitability, utilization, quality, and employee engagement.
 Job Duties:
 Review project portfolio with project managers and check-in regularly to ensure delivery is on track within approved scope (including change requests and amendments)Manage Project Managers to exceed quality and customer expectationDrive Group profitability, forecast accuracy, and revenue recognition for projects deliveredMonitor the pace of portfolio on a regular basis while tracking key business metricsCommunicate corporate vision and drive corporate strategies & prioritiesCoach and develop direct reports, act as a change agent and be a role model who encourages continuous personal growth and organizational improvementConduct regular connect meetings with the group and hold periodic performance reviews for direct reportsDevelop sales capability to drive opportunities for additional and return business Qualifications:
 10+ years relevant experienceProfessional engineering license (P.Eng., P.L.Eng.and/or P.E.) with Canadian and/or US experienceAdditional credentials preferred (e.g. LEED, PMP, RCDD, LC, CLD, IALD, CTS)Experience with alternative delivery model including P3s, design-build would be an assetPMP would be an added advantage Experience leading or delivering projects in a broad range of sectors including acute care hospital new construction and major renovation, international airports, light rapid transit stations, office buildings, recreational centers, universities, colleges and secondary schools, swimming pools, shopping malls, and skating rinksHave executive maturity with an ability to influence Be customer-centric and solution focused Ability to create clarity and clearly communicate Ability to encourage teamwork and collaboration to drive business success and manage changeStrong people management skills including consistent demonstration of corporate valuesRelated experience in consulting would be a definite advantage
