This position is expected to be a field assignment. 

 

The primary responsibility is to provide Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) and Distributed Control System (DCS) related construction and commissioning management guidance and support to client management during the construction, commissioning, and/or initial operation of Nuclear Power Plant Projects.

Secondary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

Review instrument/component calibrations, perform functional testing of plant process systems, perform I/O loop checks, and have a detailed understanding of power plant process controls philosophiesPerform general and technical consulting for I&C and electrical technicians and construction personnel.Assist in facilitating Client – Owner/Regulator communications.Coordinate issues between engineering and construction, as required to support project activitiesReview and advise on corrective action issues, including engineering, construction, and commissioning deficienciesPrepare detailed startup plans as are necessary for functional testing of process systemsPrepare system turnover packages following project procedures, including reviewing system testing documentationPerform initial configuration and energization of control system equipment, including hardware, software, network establishment, datalink configuration, etc.Detailed understanding and ability to perform logic verification and testing, graphic verification, alarm verification and management, and process control tuningDetailed understanding of power plant network architecture and power plant control systems, including Emerson Ovation, Siemens T3000, ABB 800xA, Allen Bradley Control Logix, and MHI/GE/Siemens/Alstom turbine control systems Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

Ability and willingness to work at a project site location; domestically or internationally;Success working with multi-cultural and multi-disciplined teams;Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management ,or equivalent electrical field trade experience;Six or more years of applicable experience, including Nuclear Power Plant Construction, Nuclear Power Plant Commissioning, and Initial Power Plant Operation;Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills;Demonstrated Client relationship-building experience;Positive attitude and personality; ability to build positive relationships.
