Electrical Inspector

Come join us! **Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Capable of assisting the Resident Engineer o Electrical Quality Assurance and Source inspection Office in all aspects of required field Electrical Construction Inspection/Quality Assurance services. + Understand client and customer needs + Operate within the customers’ safety protocols at all times + Complete all required documentation including Inspector’s Daily Reports on a daily basis + Must be capable of performing inspection for quality workmanship, including field measurements of construction materials and products + Monitor construction Contractor’s quality control operations, traffic control operations and monitor any special environmental contract requirements + Identify changes, errors or field adjustments to the contract documents and recommend action to the Resident Engineer **Minimum requirements:** + Journeyman Level Electrician Certificate (EL-01) issued by WA L&I and a minimum of 2 years experience of installation of highway electrical systems including any combination of illumination, traffic signal, and ITS systems experienceOR + a minimum of 4 years of continuous practical experience in the installation or inspection of highway electrical systems, including any combination of illumination, traffic signals, and ITS systems experienceOR + a minimum of 2 years of electrical training in a college of electrical engineering of recognized standing and 2 years continuous practical experience in the installation or inspection of highway electrical systems, including any combination of illumination, traffic signals, and ITS systems experience + Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Must meet internal requirements for operation of company vehicles throughout duration of employment and must maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record. + Must be willing and able to travel to job sites, sometimes for extended periods. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. + Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation, and color vision + Moving, carrying, and lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds + Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time + Working in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold + WSDOT Advanced Electrical Inspection Class training certification preferred. **Technical requirements:** + Working knowledge of professional + Effective written, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team involving staff, clients and outside agencies + Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) + Strong problem-solving skills, including identifying data quality issues + Strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize activities and work with limited supervision + Results oriented and able to complete tasks on deadline with little supervision + Ability to make good decisions using sound, professional judgment **Other miscellaneous qualities:** + Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
