Electrical Installer and Repairer

**Job Description:**
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Installation** : Install electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, outlets, circuit breakers, and electrical panels in homes, buildings, or other infrastructure.
2. **Maintenance and Repair** : Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems to ensure proper function. This includes addressing electrical faults, replacing faulty components, and performing upgrades as needed.
3. **Electrical Wiring and Components** : Work with various electrical components, including transformers, switches, generators, and wiring, ensuring they are installed and repaired safely.
4. **Compliance** : Ensure that installations and repairs meet local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations (e.g., NEC - National Electrical Code).
5. **Blueprint Reading** : Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan electrical installations and understand wiring diagrams.
6. **Troubleshooting** : Identify and fix electrical problems in systems, such as power outages, faulty connections, or broken wiring.
7. **Testing and Inspection** : Test electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, and circuit testers to verify performance and safety.
8. **Customer Interaction** : Communicate effectively with clients to explain the work needed, provide quotes, and answer any questions about electrical systems and safety.
9. **Safety** : Follow safety procedures when working with electrical systems, particularly regarding proper grounding, power disconnection, and handling live circuits.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an apprenticeship in electrical installation and repair.
+ Certification or licensing may be required depending on the location (e.g., journeyman or master electrician certification).
+ Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and electrical codes.
+ Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
+ Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
+ Physical stamina to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
+ Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
**Pay Details:** $30.00 to $50.00 per hour
