Job Description:
Electrical Engineering Student
Microchip Technology Inc. is a leading provider of embedded control applications. Our product portfolio comprises general purpose and
specialized 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit microcontrollers, 32-bit microprocessors, field-programmable gate array (FPGA) products, a broad
spectrum of high-performance linear, mixed-signal, power management, thermal management, radio frequency (RF), timing, safety, security,
wired connectivity and wireless connectivity devices, as well as serial Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM),
Serial Flash memories, Parallel Flash memories, and serial Static Random Access Memory (SRAM). We also license Flash-IP solutions that
are incorporated in a broad range of products
Looking for a motivated Electrical Engineering student, or similar curriculum, with an aptitude for software programming. Part time
position. Candidate should be knowledgeable in electrical circuitry and testing. A bonus would be knowledge in semiconductor circuits or
familiarity with National Instruments hardware.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop and Document R scripts.
* Development/modification of data analysis scripts.
* Assist in the development of LabVIEW and C test code.
* Be able to work both independently and as part of a team with assigned tasks.
* Be able to learn a variety of different software platforms such as Windows 10, XP, DOS, Linux, SunOS.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Candidate must be a student pursuing a BSEE or MSEE (or similar). Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability
to use standard lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, multi-meter, function generator, etc).
*Must be familiar with, or willing to learn, the R Programming environment.
Knowledge of any of the following skills a plus: LabVIEW, C, C++, Python, Visual Basic, MS Office VBA, Excel Macros
