Job Description
The maintenance technician is responsible for performing duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment according to established procedures in a safe and efficient manner.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment including motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying equipment, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, and programmable logic controllers.Performs mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machine repairs.Coordinates and completes installation and wiring of manufacturing equipment such as pumps, fans, blowers, and relay panels.Prepares, coordinates, and implements preventative maintenance.Detects faulty operations and defective materials, documenting and reporting any unusual findings to the proper supervision.Complies with all GMP and safety regulations.Essential SkillsMechanical troubleshootingElectrical troubleshootingProficiency with ohmmeter, ammeter, voltmeter, and multimeterPLC troubleshootingCapable of working with voltages ranging from 24 to 480 voltsBasic computer skillsAbility to read schematicsKnowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical, and electronic applications acquired through a minimum of three years of experienceComfortable with heights and the ability to lift objects up to 100 lbsComfortable performing preventative maintenance tasks such as greasing, lubricating, and changing bearingsAdditional Skills & QualificationsPLC programmingWelding and fabrication experienceExperience with VFD drivesKnowledge of sensors and photo eyesWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
The position requires working the 3rd shift from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am, with training on day shifts before transitioning to swing and night shifts. The facility operates in a warm environment, which can get very hot during the summer, and involves working around machinery and production products such as chips and popcorn. The facility and machinery are cleaned every Friday. The role may involve handling pallets, exchanging propane tanks, and wearing safety gear such as hi-vis vests, hand protection, nitrile gloves, PVC gloves, safety glasses, coveralls or uniform, and a welding shield. General cleanliness and hygiene practices are mandatory, including frequent handwashing and wearing clean garments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $73000.00/yr.
