Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

You will be responsible for directing hourly electricians and other employees in all activities related to facility electrical maintenance and operations, including the maintenance of surface and underground systems.

ResponsibilitiesDirect all foremen, employees, and contract maintenance to properly plan and execute maintenance of all facility assets while complying with safety procedures and union contracts.Evaluate the conditions of all facility milling, packaging, and material handling production equipment and recommend scheduling and overseeing major maintenance.Report to the plant General Manager daily, discussing maintenance activities, production levels, and solutions to any problems.Review and approve preventative maintenance, production, and other reports prepared by subordinates.Maintain a workplace that ensures safe operations and minimizes MSHA citations.Monitor budget performance and direct operations to maintain acceptable budget variances.Develop and execute electrical projects or electrical portions of projects.Essential Skills2-5 years of progressive industrial supervision experience.Minimum of 1 year in Maintenance and Reliability Management.Hands-on electrical/electrician skills – Journeyman or Master Electrician status preferred.Electrical engineering and/or experience in electrical design preferred.Strong electrical controls experience.Maintenance and troubleshooting experience.3-phase industrial power experience – 480V, high voltage experience up to 12.47kV preferred.High voltage distribution and transformer experience strongly preferred.PLC programming experience.Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.CAD experience preferred.Knowledge of computer networking.Additional Skills & QualificationsJourneyman/Master Electrician certification and/or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.Strong maintenance experience with hands-on expertise in resolving complex problems.Strong electrical expertise, including troubleshooting, power distribution, and PLC experience.Strong hoist and shaft knowledge and experience in solving complex problems.Strong understanding and experience with MSHA regulations.Excels in project coordination and detailed planning.Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of maintenance and preventative maintenance.Ability to comprehend simple accounting practices and procedures.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor will oversee 2-3 electricians, focusing on electrical maintenance. The role requires the ability to work in both mine and surface environments, including very hot, cold, or wet outdoor conditions. Must navigate in and out of offices, wear PPE, and be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Additional hours may be required. The position involves hands-on assistance and inspection of work areas for safety hazards.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lyons, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
