Electrical Maintenance Technician
6 AM - 6PM or 6PM - 6AM shifts
Responsibilities:Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, motors, and control systems. Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with electrical codes and standards.Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical equipment. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively to prevent downtime.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical problems in a timely manner. Use appropriate testing equipment and tools to identify the root cause of issues and implement effective solutions.Equipment Installation: Assist with the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems. Ensure proper configuration and integration with existing systems.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs. Update maintenance logs and equipment documentation as required.Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and production staff to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to operations. Provide technical support and guidance as needed.Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of electrical spare parts and supplies. Ensure necessary materials are available for maintenance and repair tasks.Training and Development: Stay current with advancements in electrical technology and maintenance practices. Participate in training programs and share knowledge with team members.Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and equipment failures. Ensure quick resolution to minimize impact on production.Qualifications:Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.2+ years of experience as an electrical maintenance technician or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical codes.Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment.Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is a plus.Certification as a Journeyman Electrician or equivalent is preferred.
