**Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are hiring 2 Tech IIs and 2 Tech IIIs. The Electrical Maintenance Technician will maintain and service mechanical equipment, machinery, and components, performing skilled repairs of mechanical, electrical, and building systems and equipment. The role requires conducting periodic inspections, identifying parts needed for replacement, and placing orders as necessary. All work must be completed in accordance with established safety procedures. The position may require completing an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty. **Responsibilities** + Make repairs or modifications to production equipment utilizing skills such as reading pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics; using basic electronic test equipment; working with pneumatics and electrical controls, pipefitting, welding, and mechanics. + Assist with installation, checkout, and start-up of new or modified plant production equipment. + Order maintenance machine parts, track, and turn in repair parts. + Assist Maintenance Supervisor or Manager with facts and details for formal investigations. + Upload and download PLC programs. + Record all downtime on the appropriate form for reporting to Maintenance Supervisor. + Train other mechanics as requested, must be a qualified fellow employee (QFE). + Maintain plant tools and toolboxes in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Adhere to cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and plant policies/rules. + Recognize problem trends and propose solutions, effectively communicating in both verbal and written form the nature of the problem and proposed resolutions. **Essential Skills** + Electrical maintenance + Mechanical maintenance + Hydraulics + Pneumatics + PLC troubleshooting + Industrial electrical maintenance + Reading pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics + Using basic electronic test equipment + Pipefitting, welding, and mechanics + Experience with 480v, VFDs, 3-phase, electrical relays, servo drives, cams, HMIs, electrical measuring devices, and wiring schematics **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Must be at least 18 years of age + High School diploma required + 2-4 years' experience with industrial mechanical, electrical, or similar systems + Alternatively, a certification or degree in a technical area pertinent to maintenance from an accredited College/University will be acceptable in lieu of 2 years' previous experience + Master troubleshooters, support project teams as a technical SME, write troubleshooting guides; act as Train-the-Trainer for other mechanics; well-rounded electro-mechanical skills and basic programming knowledge + Ability to use tools such as voltage and amperage meters, oscilloscope, megger, hand tools, calipers, micrometers, PLCs and associated software + Proficiency in Outlook mail (Excel and Microsoft Word preferred) + Ability to work overtime as needed (including weekends), adjust schedule quickly, and willingness to be called in to meet operational demands + Maintain and provide company with current working phone number + May be required to become a Qualified Fellow Employee (QFE) and/or instruct other employees as needed + Must be able to pass GMP and area certifications **Why Work Here?** Join a well-known and stable company that supports healthcare and medical devices. The company is willing to consider a sign-on bonus for candidates relocating to Austin. **Work Environment** All openings are on the same night shift schedule with a 3-2-2-3 rotating schedule from 6:00pm to 6:00am, working every other weekend and averaging 42 hours per week. The work environment ranges from clean rooms with proper gowning requirements to open production areas that may be noisy and have moving equipment. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs unassisted and move equipment/parts up to 600 lbs assisted. Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Austin, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $76876.80 - $86486.40/yr.
