Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Job Description

We are hiring 2 Tech IIs and 2 Tech IIIs. The Electrical Maintenance Technician will maintain and service mechanical equipment, machinery, and components, performing skilled repairs of mechanical, electrical, and building systems and equipment. The role requires conducting periodic inspections, identifying parts needed for replacement, and placing orders as necessary. All work must be completed in accordance with established safety procedures. The position may require completing an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty.

ResponsibilitiesMake repairs or modifications to production equipment utilizing skills such as reading pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics; using basic electronic test equipment; working with pneumatics and electrical controls, pipefitting, welding, and mechanics.Assist with installation, checkout, and start-up of new or modified plant production equipment.Order maintenance machine parts, track, and turn in repair parts.Assist Maintenance Supervisor or Manager with facts and details for formal investigations.Upload and download PLC programs.Record all downtime on the appropriate form for reporting to Maintenance Supervisor.Train other mechanics as requested, must be a qualified fellow employee (QFE).Maintain plant tools and toolboxes in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Adhere to cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and plant policies/rules.Recognize problem trends and propose solutions, effectively communicating in both verbal and written form the nature of the problem and proposed resolutions.Essential SkillsElectrical maintenanceMechanical maintenanceHydraulicsPneumaticsPLC troubleshootingIndustrial electrical maintenanceReading pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematicsUsing basic electronic test equipmentPipefitting, welding, and mechanicsExperience with 480v, VFDs, 3-phase, electrical relays, servo drives, cams, HMIs, electrical measuring devices, and wiring schematicsAdditional Skills & QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageHigh School diploma required2-4 years' experience with industrial mechanical, electrical, or similar systemsAlternatively, a certification or degree in a technical area pertinent to maintenance from an accredited College/University will be acceptable in lieu of 2 years' previous experienceMaster troubleshooters, support project teams as a technical SME, write troubleshooting guides; act as Train-the-Trainer for other mechanics; well-rounded electro-mechanical skills and basic programming knowledgeAbility to use tools such as voltage and amperage meters, oscilloscope, megger, hand tools, calipers, micrometers, PLCs and associated softwareProficiency in Outlook mail (Excel and Microsoft Word preferred)Ability to work overtime as needed (including weekends), adjust schedule quickly, and willingness to be called in to meet operational demandsMaintain and provide company with current working phone numberMay be required to become a Qualified Fellow Employee (QFE) and/or instruct other employees as neededMust be able to pass GMP and area certificationsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

All openings are on the same night shift schedule with a 3-2-2-3 rotating schedule from 6:00pm to 6:00am, working every other weekend and averaging 42 hours per week. The work environment ranges from clean rooms with proper gowning requirements to open production areas that may be noisy and have moving equipment. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs unassisted and move equipment/parts up to 600 lbs assisted. Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $76876.80 - $86486.40/yr.
