We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will learn our current manufacturing processes, utilize lean manufacturing methodologies, and work to improve assembly processes, reduce waste, and decrease assembly time. You will write test instructions, update BOMs, reduce production costs, and understand the operation and manufacturing processes. Additionally, you will incorporate new design requirements, support design changes for certifications, and effectively collaborate with electrical technicians on the shop floor.
Responsibilities
+ Learn the current manufacturing processes of top-level and sub-assemblies.
+ Utilize lean manufacturing methodologies to improve assembly processes, reduce waste, and decrease assembly time.
+ Write test instructions, update BOMs, and reduce production costs.
+ Understand the operation and manufacturing processes.
+ Understand component and system-level electrical testing requirements.
+ Incorporate new design requirements into the assembly process.
+ Support design changes for certifications.
+ Work effectively with electrical technicians on the shop floor.
+ Lead the resolution of quality-related issues with electrical suppliers.
+ Establish relationships with key electrical component suppliers to support design and process changes.
+ Provide electrical manufacturing support to engineering, purchasing, and customers.
+ Maintain ownership of the electrical manufacturing process instructions used by technicians.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in electrical manufacturing, lean manufacturing methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Kanban.
+ Ability to read and create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
+ Hands-on experience with electrical design, preferably using SolidWorks.
+ Understanding of UL and other electrical safety standards.
+ Experience with manufacturing electrical subassemblies and variable frequency drives.
+ Proficiency in using CAD programs for electrical diagrams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Manufacturing or Engineering Degree with at least 3 years of experience.
+ Technical Certification with at least 5 years of experience.
+ At least 7 years of electrical manufacturing experience.
+ Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing.
+ Understanding of electrical agency and safety certifications and standards.
Work Environment
This is a start-up company that has undergone a series of funding and operates as a spin-off from Calnetix in the same building. You will work 100% onsite with approximately 20 employees, closely collaborating with the Electrical Engineer and providing instructions to electronic technicians. The product focus is on turbo expanders in the clean technology industry, converting natural gas into clean energy. The role offers ownership of the entire product line and performance-based bonuses.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00
