Contract to Hire position$20.00 /hourFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 02:30pm)Build control panels, mount control enclosures on machines, and wire all machine components.Read and interpret electrical schematics and perform layout for components on electrical back plates according to drawings.Identify and wire electrical components, including photo eyes, prox sensors, limit switches, disconnects, motors, line reactors, fuse blocks, terminal strips, starters, VFDs, e-stops, PLCs, transformers, circuit breakers, encoders, wireways, and DIN rails.Ensure accurate wire numbers, colors, and gauges are used for specific components.Troubleshoot and resolve wiring and component placement issues, seeking or discussing options to overcome obstacles.Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and UL wiring standards/specifications.Work independently or collaboratively with a team to meet production goals.Electrical Panel/Machine Wirer Qualifications:
Proven experience in building control panels and wiring machine components.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and layout drawings.Knowledge of electrical components, including photo eyes, prox sensors, limit switches, motors, line reactors, fuse blocks, terminal strips, starters, VFDs, e-stops, PLCs, transformers, circuit breakers, encoders, and more.Attention to detail with wire numbers, colors, and gauges.Familiarity with UL wiring standards/specifications.Proficiency in using hand tools, including drill motors, taps, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, cut-off wheels, die grinders, etc.Ability to read both metric and standard tape measures.Physical ability to frequently use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, stand, sit, climb, balance, and maneuver around equipment while wiring.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
