Job Description
The Electrical Engineer supports production and facility operations, equipment and process issues as they arise. They support electrical troubleshooting on equipment and processes. They also lead systemic improvements to equipment, processes, and process controls.
ResponsibilitiesSupport Electrical Continuous Improvement Projects.Develop and analyze data to determine opportunities.Define, develop, and execute improvement plans.Maintain PLC software and PLC application backup systems.Approve Electrical Standards for the plant.Support current and incoming Facilities and Manufacturing processes.Review and approve electrical technical documentation for correctness.Approve Calibration procedures.Approve Safe Practices and SOPs pertaining to Electrical Systems.Program and design PLC, HMI, and process vision systems.Complete change controls to support electrical modifications.Support the development of new processes by defining Electrical requirements for incoming products.Develop and execute Qualifications and Protocols.Provide technical support with Electrical equipment breakdowns and process interruptions.Offer guidance and training support for current C&IS and FM Electrical Technicians.Serve as a technical resource to the operations management team.Lead Root Cause determination investigations.Support troubleshooting efforts.Essential SkillsPLC programmingPLC troubleshootingHMITroubleshooting electronicsEngineeringDesign engineeringAdditional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing facility (preferable in pharmaceuticals or regulated environment) OR a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.Ability to use data in a systemic fashion to determine Root Cause, drive out Solutions, assess current process trends, develop action plans, and lead others through the process improvement process.Experience with power distribution, PLCs, process instrumentation, and instrument calibration.Experience in a regulated industry is preferred.Work Environment
This role is based in a 400,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. The company offers a relocation bonus, a great benefits and PTO package, and has an average retention rate of over 5 years.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00
Internal Norwich Pharmaceutical's benefits package. Includes Comprehensive Health, Retirement, and PTO. Will be sent to candidates during the final stages of the interview process.
